I was excited about M. Night’s new movie – his first R-rated movie as every commercial and review was quick to point out. I loved Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs. I wasn’t all that thrilled about The Village, and I did not see The Lady In the Water. In reading previews, I came across one that spoiled the "twist" for me, and I was saddened by the weakness of the plot (I won’t spoil it for you). I figured I’d wait to Netflix it. Saturday, Jake and Jordan went to go see it, and both have expressed their disappointment in their blogs. Jordan even said that to rent it would be a waste. How sad. It seems that M. Night is pulling a Jean-Claude Van Damme as a writer – really good start to a career that is now tailspinning down into a wreck. Hopefully he’ll be able to pull it out and get back on track.
