Ready to roll!!
Today was the first day Mateo and I went out on our own. He had his two month appt with the pediatrician. I got stuff picked up and put away before we got ready to go. I got Mateo dressed and his diaper bag packed, strapped him in, and off we went. After checking in, we sat in the waiting room with 4 ladies and their children. It felt a bit weird being the only guy, but when I thought about it, I realized that I was doing my duty as a parent, regardless of gender.
Mateo checked out well, the Dr. said Mateo’s weight and height were within range (he’s up to 11 lbs 13 oz – 4 pounds gained in two months!!). The hardest part were the three shots he received today. I hate seeing him in pain, but I will take the short period of hurt to provide him the best health possible. I brought him home, gave him some pain medication per doctor’s (and mom’s) orders, and fed him his bottle.
I think we did ok today.
